15 PDH hours annually
Renewal deadline:
December 31, annually
State Approval:
The Alabama State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors does not pre-approve or endorse any activity. Course selection is determined by the engineer; however, course selection must meet the requirements of the Alabama Board of Professional Engineers.
Course Objective:
Courses must be relevant to the practice of engineering and may include technical, ethical, or managerial content. PDH must have a clear purpose and objective for each activity which will maintain, improve, or expand skills and knowledge obtained prior to initial licensure or to develop new and relevant skills and knowledge.
PDH / CE Carryover:
A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.
Online Courses:
Accepted. No limit on number of PDH that can be achieved through online continuing education.
