It is our principal goal, as is the board’s requirement, to provide meaningful continuing education activities that will enhance the knowledge, skill and expertise of the licensee’s, within his / her chosen field of practice. State Approval:
The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency pre-approves providers and specific courses. Course selection is determined by the engineer; however, course selection must meet the requirements of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. (See below)
Course Objective:
The continuing education course shall have a statement of objectives, which the program should achieve for its participants relating to and enhancing the practice of engineering. During each biennial renewal period, Indiana PEs must earn the following:
• At least 1 PDH shall be in Ethics
• At least 1 PDH shall be in Indiana Statutes and Rules
PDH / CE Carryover:
A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.
Online Courses:
Accepted. No limit on number of PDH that can be achieved through online continuing education.
